Personal Information[]
Tom Jackson can usually be found in the livery stable renting out horses. He used to own land that was taken from him by Emile Younger and Davis. Harbouring a grudge Jackson tolerates Younger because of the type of man he is.
When he witnesses Hop Sing being bullied by Younger and Davis, Jackson hopes that he will get his comeuppance, however this doesn't materialise due to the fact that Hop Sing never returns to the Ponderosa to tell them what happened.
After Younger is murdered and Little Joe is arrested and put on trial Jackson forms part of the Jury. During an experiment by Hop Sing and Hoss, Jackson gives his thumb print as well as the rest of the Jurors and Hop Sing tells Hoss that his print matches the print on the murder weapon.
Hoss asks Jackson to be sworn in.
Hoss summises that after telling the Cartwrights that he did see Hop Sing, Jackson snuck over to the Younger and Davis property and kept a hidden watch to see what happens.
He spots Little Joe enter the house and then leave not long after. When Little Joe has gone, Jackson enters the house and sees Younger on the floor knocked out. Seizing his chance Jackson picks up a 2x4 drying out and clubs Younger over the head.
Because there were no witnesses to Jackson being there Little Joe is implicated as the main suspect in the death of Younger.
Tom Jackson is arrested and Little Joe's court case is declared a mistrial.
Notes[]
- There would have been no reason to paint the table since Jackson wouldn't have known about fingerprints at that point.
